It was the kind of Friday where multiple assets were doing things they have not done in months. Bitcoin flirted with a level not seen since May, gold kept its winning streak alive, and the bond market refused to cooperate with the people trying to talk it down. The stocks that moved today reflect all of it and then some.

Hidden Tax Breaks (Sponsored)

Capital gains taxes may quietly reduce more of your investment returns than you realize.

But the tax code includes several strategies that may help reduce that bill.

Three often-overlooked areas include investment-related expenses, cost basis adjustments, and real estate selling costs.

When structured correctly, these deductions may help minimize taxable gains.

Because the rules can be complex, many investors work with fiduciary financial advisors to plan tax-efficient strategies.

Industrials & Infrastructure

Parsons Gets a Fresh Defense Growth Catalyst

Parsons gained fresh momentum after Baird upgraded Parsons to Outperform on Friday and lifted its price target to $57 from $48, pointing to stronger second-half earnings as delayed programs, mine-related projects, and new government work begin contributing more meaningfully.

The outlook is reinforced by Parsons’ newly announced $350 million Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific contract, while Baird also expects a protested $190 million award to begin contributing and sees potential FAA-related work approaching $800 million.

Cleveland-Cliffs Locks In a $1 Billion Steel Upgrade

Cleveland-Cliffs moved forward after the Energy Department finalized its Middletown Works investment framework, setting up a $1 billion modernization of its Ohio steelmaking facility with funding split equally between the company and a rescoped $500 million federal grant.

The four-year project includes blast-furnace upgrades, new material-handling systems, AI-enabled process controls and a cogeneration facility, while preserving roughly 2,300 existing jobs and supporting more than 1,500 workers during peak construction.

Real Estate & Property Services

CoStar Closes Its $800 Million Zonda Deal

CoStar Group completed its $800 million acquisition of Zonda, adding new-home construction data, homebuilder software and residential marketplaces to a property-information business that already spans commercial and residential real estate.

Zonda serves more than 3,000 builders, developers, suppliers and lenders across North America, while its NewHomeSource and Livabl platforms give CoStar a larger presence across the roughly $400 billion U.S. new-home sales market.

RenX Turns a Georgia Property Into Fresh Capital

RenX Enterprises agreed to sell a Georgia property through a joint venture for $2.6 million, monetizing a 7.7-acre East Point parcel as the company redirects resources toward its environmental-services operations in Florida.

Roughly $800,000 of the proceeds will repay notes held by RenX; its share of the remaining proceeds is expected to provide about $900,000 that can support development of its 80-acre Myakka City organics-processing facility.

Healthcare & Medical

Centene Takes Preventive Care on the Road

Centene subsidiary Coordinated Care launched a statewide mobile health tour across Washington, bringing free vision and dental screenings directly into local communities as the insurer expands access to basic preventive services outside traditional clinics.

The program uses mobile vans to reach communities across the state, extending Centene’s healthcare footprint beyond insurance coverage and into direct patient outreach, particularly for people who may face transportation, scheduling or affordability barriers when seeking routine care.

PMGC Expands Its Muscle-Preservation Patent Push

PMGC Holdings subsidiary NorthStrive Biosciences filed two new U.S. patent applications covering its EL-22 and EL-32 programs for muscle loss linked to long-duration spaceflight, widening the potential technology applications originally being developed around muscle preservation during GLP-1 treatment.

NorthStrive is developing engineered probiotic candidates that target myostatin and related pathways. The new filings broaden the intellectual-property strategy into microgravity-induced muscle atrophy and other settings where preserving lean muscle could become medically important.

Autonomous Mobility & Transportation

Tesla Takes the Semi to Europe

Tesla is preparing to bring the Semi to Europe, with the electric heavy-duty truck set for its European debut at September’s IAA Transportation show in Hannover as the company looks beyond North America for its commercial-vehicle business.

The move gives Tesla a new route into Europe’s large freight market, where fleet operators face tighter emissions requirements and rising pressure to electrify heavy transport. The company is expected to reveal specifications tailored for European customers at the event.

Uber Gets the Green Light for Vegas Robotaxis

Uber received regulatory approval to deploy robotaxis across Clark County as Nevada cleared the company to operate up to 1,000 autonomous vehicles through partners including Motional and Zoox.

The approval gives Uber another major U.S. market for its partner-led autonomous strategy, with Las Vegas joining a growing network where the company can blend human-driven rides with driverless vehicles instead of building and owning the underlying autonomous technology itself.

Aerospace & Aviation

Boeing Faces a Crucial Workforce Vote

Boeing’s largest white-collar union is completing a vote on the company’s contract offer today, with thousands of engineers and technical workers deciding whether to accept a four-year agreement as Boeing tries to avoid another disruptive strike.

A work stoppage would threaten further delays to certification of the already-late 737 Max 10 and 777-9 programs. At the same time, the proposed deal includes inflation-linked and performance-based wage increases and comes before the current contract expires in October.

RTX Clears a European Antitrust Headache

European regulators closed their investigation into RTX’s Pratt & Whitney after the aerospace manufacturer changed contractual clauses that had raised concerns about whether independent spare-parts suppliers could obtain critical inputs and services.

The changes remove potential barriers for aftermarket suppliers and end the European Commission probe, eliminating a regulatory issue around one of RTX’s most important aerospace businesses as Pratt & Whitney continues to manage a huge global engine and maintenance operation.

Top Winners and Losers

RF Acquisition Corp II [RFAI] $58.00 (+355.62%)

RFAI is a blank-check SPAC that exploded on 82x average volume after announcing a merger target, the kind of move that only happens when a deal materializes overnight on a name nobody was watching.

At a $106M market cap with a P/E of 622x on $0.09 EPS, this is pure event-driven pricing. SPACs live and die by their targets; the name behind the deal is what matters now.

StablecoinX Inc. [USDE] $7.41 (+85.25%)

StablecoinX is a crypto infrastructure play that nearly doubled as Bitcoin charged toward $80,000 and Trump’s public push for crypto legislation gave the sector a direct tailwind.

The $201M company has no earnings yet, but in a week where the president is personally championing digital assets, sentiment is doing the heavy lifting.

AIAI Holdings [AIAI] $6.62 (+46.14%)

AIAI Holdings is an AI-focused technology company that surged as AI sentiment stayed firmly in the driver’s seat heading into Nvidia’s earnings next week.

The $518M company has no disclosed EPS, but the volume spike at nearly 50x the average says institutional positioning was active today, not just retail momentum.

Hennessy Capital Investment Corp VII [HVII] $6.38 (-21.94%)

Hennessy Capital VII is a blank-check SPAC that dropped 21.94% as redemption pressure mounted with no deal announced in sight.

At a $166M market cap with a Strong Buy consensus and $0.10 EPS, the setup looks fine on paper, but SPACs without a target are running out of patience from investors who have better places to put capital on a day like today.

T3 Defense [DFNS] $20.61 (-15.53%)

T3 Defense gave back a significant chunk of yesterday’s gains as the post-spike hangover set in.

The Strong Buy consensus and $34M market cap were not enough to hold the move, which is exactly what happens when a name runs too far too fast on a single catalyst. What goes up 120% in a session rarely holds all of it by the next close.

Cable One [CABO] $22.82 (-13.17%)

Cable One is an internet service provider that continued its slow bleed as subscriber losses mount and the business case for standalone regional broadband providers gets harder to defend.

The $129M company carries a Neutral rating with deeply negative EPS. This is not a one-day story; it is a structural decline playing out one quarter at a time.

Everything Else

You Read This Far. Here's Where the Real Work Lives.

We run three live portfolios on Autopilot, and everything about them is public: every position, every allocation, every trade, visible the moment it happens.

We keep our own money in each one, because analysis you won't fund yourself is just content.

THE UNBREAKABLE STACK
Our growth book: durable software and cybersecurity names built to compound quietly for years.

THE HORMUZ PREMIUM
Our energy thesis: built for how that sector actually pays, over quarters, not headlines.

THE SQUEEZE
The defensive sleeve: staples and steady compounders, boring on purpose, built for the nights you'd rather sleep than watch futures.

And here's the part that makes it effortless: Autopilot does the trading for you. Connect the brokerage you already use (Robinhood, Schwab, Fidelity, and more) and every move we make gets mirrored in your own account automatically.

Your money never leaves your brokerage. It stays in your account, under your control, and you can override any trade or disconnect anytime. Autopilot even rebalances automatically when allocations drift, and you get a notification every time something happens.

No watching tickers. No timing entries. No fat-finger mistakes at market open. You pick the portfolio, we do the work, your account follows along.

Pick the one that fits your risk level, or run all three:

Live portfolios, real positions, our own capital at stake. Your funds stay in your own brokerage account. Past performance doesn't guarantee future results.

That's it for today! Please, write us back, and let us know what you think of the Closing Bell Roundup. We're always eager to hear feedback!

Thanks for reading. I'll see you at the next open!

Best Regards,
