The AI boom is creating a new set of pressure points, from memory shortages and financing risk to the question of how autonomous agents will interact with the payments system. At the same time, companies like Starbucks and Navan are showing that growth alone is no longer enough if margins fail to keep pace.

Market Pulse
Wall Street’s Earnings Bar Keeps Moving Higher
Barclays raised its year-end S&P 500 target to 7,950 after another unusually strong earnings season. Roughly 86% of reporting S&P 500 companies beat profit estimates, giving strategists more confidence in earnings growth even as elevated valuations leave less room for disappointment.
Central Bankers Are Starting to Worry About Who Is Financing AI
The Bank for International Settlements warned that AI spending is becoming large enough to create financial-stability risks. With more of the buildout being funded through debt and private credit, regulators are paying closer attention to what happens if expected commercial returns fail to keep pace with trillions of dollars of investment.

Chips & Hardware
China’s AI Chip Boom Runs Into a Memory Squeeze
Huawei, Cambricon, MetaX, and other Chinese chipmakers have raised prices as high-bandwidth memory becomes increasingly expensive. Some upcoming processors are being quoted 20% to 50% higher than just two months ago, showing how memory shortages and export controls are raising the cost of replacing foreign AI hardware.
Analog Devices Pays $1.35 Billion to Push AI to the Edge
Analog Devices agreed to acquire Alif Semiconductor for $1.35 billion as more AI processing moves directly into industrial equipment and connected devices. Alif’s processors complement Analog Devices’ sensors and power-management technology, giving the company a broader platform for machines that can analyze data and respond in real time.

AI & Payments
Visa and Mastercard Prepare for AI Agents With Credit Cards
Visa, Mastercard, and Ant International are creating common standards for verifying AI agents that make purchases. The framework is designed to answer a basic but increasingly important question: how does a merchant know an autonomous agent is legitimate and authorized to spend someone else’s money?
OpenAI Wants to Sell AI by the Outcome, Not the Token
OpenAI is pushing further into specialized enterprise applications, including chip design, life sciences, and financial services. The company says its own models helped develop a chip design in nine months, while faster enterprise growth suggests corporate customers are becoming more willing to pay for measurable productivity rather than generic chatbot access.

Consumer & Travel
Starbucks Gets Customers Back, Now It Needs the Margins
Brian Niccol’s turnaround has reversed six consecutive quarters of declining comparable sales, helped by shorter wait times, menu changes, and store upgrades. The tradeoff is profitability, with heavier staffing and investment compressing margins and putting the next phase of the turnaround squarely on cost control.
Navan’s Growth Comes With a Bigger Bill
Corporate travel platform Navan beat quarterly expectations and raised its full-year forecast, supported by strong booking growth and resilient business travel. Shares still fell after operating expenses rose faster than revenue, giving investors another reminder that strong top-line growth carries less weight when the cost of producing it keeps climbing.

Healthcare & Finance
AstraZeneca Gets Another Late-Stage Respiratory Win
AstraZeneca’s experimental drug tozorakimab reduced moderate-to-severe COPD flare-ups in two late-stage trials. The results give the company another potential growth asset in respiratory medicine as it works to expand well beyond its established oncology franchise.
India Opens the Door to Bigger Bank Stakes
India’s central bank approved ICICI Prudential Asset Management to acquire holdings of up to 9.95% in four lenders, including Kotak Mahindra Bank. The approval gives one of India’s largest asset managers more flexibility to build substantial positions in the banking sector as domestic financial markets continue to deepen.

Poll: Which type of investor do you most want to hear from when you're evaluating a new idea?
- Someone who knows the space deeply but has no position — pure knowledge, no bias
- A smart, long-term bull who has owned it for 3+ years — they know the company better than anyone
- A credible short seller who has done the work against it — I learn more from the bear case

Movers and Shakers

AeroVironment [AVAV]: Premarket Move: +6%
AeroVironment jumped after fiscal first-quarter results topped Wall Street expectations and highlighted continued strength in defense demand. Revenue reached a record $480.5 million, adjusted EPS came in at $0.59 versus $0.22 expected, and funded backlog climbed 37% to a record $1.5 billion, giving traders fresh confidence in the drone and defense technology company’s growth pipeline.
Evolution Metals & Technologies [EMAT]: Premarket Move: +4%
Evolution Metals moved higher as renewed concerns over Chinese rare-earth supplies put Western-aligned producers back in focus. Some Chinese suppliers have reportedly halted shipments to U.S. customers amid rising geopolitical tensions, strengthening the strategic case for EMAT as it works to expand non-China rare-earth magnet production for defense and advanced manufacturing markets.
CooperCompanies [COO]: Premarket Move: −15%
CooperCompanies plunged after quarterly revenue missed expectations, guidance disappointed, and its strategic review ended without a sale of CooperSurgical. Revenue rose just 1% to $1.07 billion, below the roughly $1.10 billion consensus, while management warned that U.S. contact-lens inventory reductions will continue weighing on the fourth quarter, overshadowing a modest earnings beat and expanded share buyback.

We run three live portfolios on Autopilot, and everything about them is public: every position, every allocation, every trade, visible the moment it happens.
We keep our own money in each one, because analysis you won't fund yourself is just content.
THE UNBREAKABLE STACK
Our growth book: durable software and cybersecurity names built to compound quietly for years.
THE HORMUZ PREMIUM
Our energy thesis: built for how that sector actually pays, over quarters, not headlines.
THE ELON INDEX
Our conviction bet on the Musk universe: Tesla, and the companies orbiting his ventures, energy, AI, infrastructure. High-beta by design, for investors who want direct exposure to the trade rather than watching it from the sidelines.
And here's the part that makes it effortless: Autopilot does the trading for you. Connect the brokerage you already use (Robinhood, Schwab, Fidelity, and more) and every move we make gets mirrored in your own account automatically.
Your money never leaves your brokerage. It stays in your account, under your control, and you can override any trade or disconnect anytime. Autopilot even rebalances automatically when allocations drift, and you get a notification every time something happens.
No watching tickers. No timing entries. No fat-finger mistakes at market open. You pick the portfolio, we do the work, your account follows along.
Pick the one that fits your risk level, or run all three:
Live portfolios, real positions, our own capital at stake. Your funds stay in your own brokerage account. Past performance doesn't guarantee future results.
