AI competition is becoming more global and more capital-intensive, with China, Europe, and North America all pushing harder to build domestic chip, software, and compute capacity. At the same time, public markets are showing more selectivity, especially around capital-heavy themes where timelines and financing still matter.

Capital gains taxes may quietly reduce more of your investment returns than you realize.
But the tax code includes several strategies that may help reduce that bill.
Three often-overlooked areas include investment-related expenses, cost basis adjustments, and real estate selling costs.
When structured correctly, these deductions may help minimize taxable gains.

Futures at a Glance📈
Futures are edging higher after the Fed delivered its first rate hike since 2023. Falling oil prices are offering some relief, but the Fed’s hawkish outlook and prospect of another hike this year are keeping the rebound measured after a drop yesterday.

Market Pulse
The Fed just delivered its first rate hike in more than three years and signaled another increase could follow before year-end; the dollar hit a seven-week high while short-term Treasury yields climbed as markets adjusted to a more hawkish path.
The U.S. consumer is refusing to slow down quietly after August retail sales jumped 1.2%, well above expectations; core sales rose even faster, although a 7% annual increase in import prices keeps the inflation problem firmly in view.

AI & Chips
Huawei has two new AI chips coming in 2027 as it builds a larger domestic alternative to Nvidia; its next-generation systems can link enormous numbers of processors together, while more than 1,000 smaller supernodes have already shipped to customers.
GlobalFoundries could land a semiconductor factory worth up to $19 billion as Japan and the U.S. discuss a new logic-chip plant tied to their broader $550 billion investment agreement.

Software & Quantum
Cohere and Aleph Alpha are creating a roughly $20 billion enterprise-AI challenger through a merger spanning Canada and Germany; Lidl-owner Schwarz Group is investing €500 million and plans up to €13 billion of computing infrastructure around the combined company.
France wants a homegrown answer to Nvidia’s quantum software stack as Alice & Bob partners with the country’s Atomic Energy Commission to connect quantum processors with conventional supercomputers, with its first machine scheduled to join the system in 2027.

Consumer & Mobility
Next raised its profit outlook for the fourth time this year after first-half profit climbed 10.5%; international sales are accelerating, but higher mortgage costs, inflation, and a softer employment market are tempering expectations for its UK business.
May Mobility is taking robotaxis back to the SPAC market through a $1.4 billion Nasdaq deal expected to generate up to $337 million in proceeds as autonomous-driving companies move closer to wider commercial deployment.

Capital & IPOs
Holtec Nuclear pulled its planned $900 million IPO as weak market conditions hit the fall listing window; the setback follows sharp post-IPO declines for other newly listed nuclear names, including Standard Nuclear and X-Energy.
India’s National Stock Exchange finally opened its $2.3 billion IPO after a decade of regulatory and legal delays; Norway and Abu Dhabi’s sovereign wealth funds were among institutions taking part in a $703 million anchor allocation.

Movers and Shakers

Generac [GNRC]: Premarket Move: +35%
Generac exploded higher after signing a $2.4 billion long-term generator supply agreement with Amazon for its data centers. Initial deliveries are scheduled for 2027 and 2028, while purchases under the broader arrangement could eventually reach $8 billion, dramatically expanding Generac’s exposure to the booming AI data-center power market.
Vicor [VICR]: Premarket Move: +12%
Vicor surged after licensing its Vertical Power Delivery technology to a leading AI equipment manufacturer. The agreement allows the customer to source VPD modules covered by Vicor patents from additional suppliers, validating the company’s power-delivery technology as AI processors require increasingly dense and efficient power architectures.
Fluence Energy [FLNC]: Premarket Move: −19%
Fluence plunged after slashing its fiscal 2026 guidance as U.S. manufacturing and supply-chain problems continued. Revenue is now expected at roughly $2.4 billion, down from a previous midpoint of $3 billion, while management increased its projected adjusted EBITDA loss from about $10 million to $200 million, largely because of delays ramping production at its Houston facility.

You Read This Far. Here's Where the Real Work Lives.
We run three live portfolios on Autopilot, and everything about them is public: every position, every allocation, every trade, visible the moment it happens.
We keep our own money in each one, because analysis you won't fund yourself is just content.
THE UNBREAKABLE STACK
Our growth book: durable software and cybersecurity names built to compound quietly for years.
THE HORMUZ PREMIUM
Our energy thesis: built for how that sector actually pays, over quarters, not headlines.
THE ELON INDEX
Our conviction bet on the Musk universe: Tesla, and the companies orbiting his ventures, energy, AI, infrastructure. High-beta by design, for investors who want direct exposure to the trade rather than watching it from the sidelines.
And here's the part that makes it effortless: Autopilot does the trading for you. Connect the brokerage you already use (Robinhood, Schwab, Fidelity, and more) and every move we make gets mirrored in your own account automatically.
Your money never leaves your brokerage. It stays in your account, under your control, and you can override any trade or disconnect anytime. Autopilot even rebalances automatically when allocations drift, and you get a notification every time something happens.
No watching tickers. No timing entries. No fat-finger mistakes at market open. You pick the portfolio, we do the work, your account follows along.
Pick the one that fits your risk level, or run all three:
Live portfolios, real positions, our own capital at stake. Your funds stay in your own brokerage account. Past performance doesn't guarantee future results.
