A central banker’s next remarks could set the tone for the rest of the month, so read on to see who rode the chaos and who got run over.

Banking & Finance
Morgan Stanley said strategic buyers have resumed deal discussions in recent weeks, as banks report resilient acquisition pipelines despite higher borrowing costs and market volatility threatening to delay transactions.
Bank of America reassigned 1,000 employees to address compliance failures and improve efficiency, saying it has completed substantial work under its regulatory consent order, which imposes no asset-growth cap.

Top Winners and Losers
Bending Spoons [BSP] $53.46 (+41.20%)
Bending Spoons, the Milan software shop and owner of AOL, landed a famous new cheerleader. Berkshire Hathaway agreed to buy another $330 million of stock at $33 a share, well below Tuesday’s close, lifting its stake to about 4%.
Shares leapt anyway, proof that Berkshire’s endorsement still carries serious weight on a day when most tech was bleeding.
Antelope Enterprise Holdings [AEHL] $11.49 (+34.39%)
Antelope Enterprise Holdings was halted late Tuesday pending news, then rocketed in extended trading before cooling off today.
The company has been pitching a staged digital asset reserve plan and recently lined up a $100 million at-the-market share sale. Shares remain down roughly 98% from a year ago, so this pop starts from a low base.
Liquidia [LQDA] $33.94 (+26.59%)
Liquidia buried the hatchet with United Therapeutics, agreeing to pay about $381 million in installments through 2027 to end six lawsuits over its inhaled PAH drug Yutrepia.
It will stop promoting the drug for a related lung disease but keeps selling it for PAH. Shares, which lost more than half their value after last month’s court setback, snapped back hard.

Backblaze [BLZE] $9.72 (-22.26%)
Backblaze, the cloud storage company, slid on a day when investors dumped debt-heavy AI plays and rising rates spooked anyone with pricey funding.
It sold $175 million of convertible notes in August, and analysts remain mostly bullish, with eight Buy ratings. The move reads more like a market mood swing than a company mishap, though the drop was steep.
ITG [ITG] $5.98 (-20.27%)
ITG, a digital infrastructure provider, went public in early July and had given back roughly two-thirds of its value by early October, even as second-quarter sales grew 38% and operating profit reached 5% of sales.
Wednesday extended that skid. The average target sits nearly triple the current price, so the gap between sentiment and results is getting awkward.
Dream Finders Homes [DFH] $7.42 (-19.52%)
Dream Finders Homes sank after chatter spread that short seller The Bear Cave was teasing a new report, though the teaser never named the homebuilder.
Short interest was already elevated near 21%, and a $2.2 billion cash deal for Beazer Homes is on the books, so traders headed for the exits first and asked questions later.

You Read This Far. Here's Where the Real Work Lives.
We run three live portfolios on Autopilot, and everything about them is public: every position, every allocation, every trade, visible the moment it happens.
We keep our own money in each one, because analysis you won't fund yourself is just content.
THE UNBREAKABLE STACK
Our growth book: durable software and cybersecurity names built to compound quietly for years.
THE HORMUZ PREMIUM
Our energy thesis: built for how that sector actually pays, over quarters, not headlines.
THE ELON INDEX
Our conviction bet on the Musk universe: Tesla, and the companies orbiting his ventures, energy, AI, infrastructure. High-beta by design, for investors who want direct exposure to the trade rather than watching it from the sidelines.
And here's the part that makes it effortless: Autopilot does the trading for you. Connect the brokerage you already use (Robinhood, Schwab, Fidelity, and more) and every move we make gets mirrored in your own account automatically.
Your money never leaves your brokerage. It stays in your account, under your control, and you can override any trade or disconnect anytime. Autopilot even rebalances automatically when allocations drift, and you get a notification every time something happens.
No watching tickers. No timing entries. No fat-finger mistakes at market open. You pick the portfolio, we do the work, your account follows along.
Pick the one that fits your risk level, or run all three:
Live portfolios, real positions, our own capital at stake. Your funds stay in your own brokerage account. Past performance doesn't guarantee future results.

That's it for today! Please, write us back, and let us know what you think of the Closing Bell Roundup. We're always eager to hear feedback!
Thanks for reading. I'll see you at the next open!
Best Regards,
