Monday’s biggest headline wasn’t earnings or a rate decision. Nvidia struck a deal with six of Wall Street’s largest asset managers to raise $500 billion for AI infrastructure, a number large enough to reframe what the AI buildout actually looks like at scale.

Stocks pulled back slightly from records. Berkshire’s profit more than doubled. Iran’s new Strait demands raised the negotiating bar. Today’s edition covers all of it.

Official Support Emerges (Sponsored)

Elon Musk has quietly launched a new venture outside rockets, EVs, Neuralink, and tunnels.

Trump is pushing emergency support to roll out the tech fast. It is already live in multiple states. Demand is surging too.

The Financial Times says Sam Altman is calling people to build it for OpenAI.

The key is that a few little-known companies control the supply chain.

You can buy their stocks now through a regular brokerage account before the story goes mainstream.

Elite Trade Club Insider

A CEO Sold $2.4 Million After an Earnings Pop. Another Insider Put $256 Million Behind a Complex Trade.

One company just delivered stronger sales, raised parts of its outlook, and watched its stock jump into the weekend. Its CEO responded by selling more than 200,000 shares across three sessions.

The other filing is dramatically larger: 2 million shares worth nearly $256 million. But this is not a conventional open-market dump. The structure gives the seller cash exposure today while leaving open the possibility that he ultimately keeps the shares.

Markets

Nvidia announced a deal with Apollo, Blackstone, BlackRock, Brookfield, Goldman Sachs, and KKR to raise $500 billion for AI infrastructure, a coalition that brings the largest pools of private capital directly into the buildout alongside the world’s most valuable chipmaker.

Berkshire Hathaway reported quarterly profit more than doubled, powered by investment gains and strong industrial and retail results, with shares snapping a post-earnings losing streak.

Iran over the weekend laid out a list of demands for reopening the Strait of Hormuz, including a full U.S. military withdrawal, an end to all sanctions, and war reparations, which complicated the peace timeline and pushed oil higher.

Wednesday’s July CPI report is the week’s primary catalyst, with economists expecting consumer prices up roughly 3.4% from a year ago, a slight improvement from June, and options traders are pricing in a larger-than-usual post-print swing.

Eli Lilly’s Weight-Loss Pill Wins Its First European Approval

Eli Lilly’s obesity pill Foundayo won approval from Britain’s medicines regulator, making the UK the first European country to authorize the once-daily treatment for weight management and type 2 diabetes.

The approval gives Lilly another market for a pill already launched in the U.S., where it competes with Novo Nordisk’s oral Wegovy, while Lilly shares climbed more than 2% in morning trading.

AbCellera Surges on Menopause Drug Results

AbCellera shares jumped nearly 40% after its experimental menopause treatment delivered positive results in a mid-stage study, with a single dose cutting moderate-to-severe hot-flash frequency by 83% after four weeks.

The Nasdaq-listed biotech is developing ABCL635 as a once-monthly, non-hormonal injection, with analysts estimating a multibillion-dollar market opportunity and additional 12-week trial data expected later this year.

Semiconductors & AI Infrastructure

Nvidia Lines Up a $500 Billion AI Financing Machine

Nvidia is working with Apollo Global, Blackstone and other financial groups to assemble a massive $500 billion financing package aimed at funding the data centers, computing systems and other infrastructure needed for the next stage of artificial intelligence growth.

The proposed financing would bring some of Wall Street’s largest pools of private capital directly into Nvidia’s AI ecosystem as the cost of building new computing capacity continues to climb.

Intel Turns to Wall Street for $15 Billion

Intel shares fell Monday after the chipmaker announced plans to raise $15 billion through a stock offering, giving the company additional capital as it pours money into manufacturing equipment and expands production capacity.

The giant equity raise highlights how expensive Intel’s turnaround has become, with the company investing heavily in new fabrication capabilities while trying to rebuild its position against stronger semiconductor rivals.

Real Estate & Hospitality

Ryman Hospitality Buys a $1.38 Billion Orlando Resort

Ryman Hospitality Properties agreed to acquire the Grande Lakes Orlando Resort for $1.38 billion, adding the JW Marriott Orlando and Ritz-Carlton Orlando properties along with 1,592 rooms, extensive meeting space, a golf course, and other resort assets.

TPG Mortgage Strikes a Deal for Cherry Hill

TPG Mortgage Investment Trust agreed to acquire Cherry Hill Mortgage Investment in a cash-and-stock transaction worth about $113 million, giving Cherry Hill shareholders a 29% premium to the company’s August 7 closing price.

TPG shareholders would own about 73% of the combined residential mortgage REIT, with Cherry Hill investors holding the remaining 27%, while the enlarged company would continue trading under the MITT ticker.

Musk’s Hidden Supplier (Sponsored)

While investors wait for a public SpaceX ticker, one small-cap supplier may already offer a lesser-known way into Elon Musk’s expansion.

The company provides a mission-critical hardware component used at the xAI Colossus site, yet Wall Street still treats it like a quiet industrial name.

As spending accelerates across AI infrastructure, data centers, and advanced computing, this overlooked supplier could be positioned directly in the path of billions in new investment.

See the hidden Musk supplier before Wall Street catches on.

Archer Scoops Up Three Boeing Businesses

Archer Aviation agreed to acquire Boeing’s Wisk, Insitu and SkyGrid businesses, handing Boeing a 19.75% stake in Archer while giving the air-taxi company autonomous-flight technology, drone operations and airspace-management capabilities.

The deal also brings Archer Insitu, a profitable defense-drone business generating more than $200 million in annual revenue, expanding the company beyond electric air taxis into military, surveillance and commercial logistics markets.

Voyager Wins a U.S. Space Force Contract

Voyager Technologies was awarded a new U.S. Space Force contract to develop technology that allows spacecraft operating across different orbits to communicate as part of a more resilient Defense Department data network.

The NYSE-listed space and defense company will build a flight-ready communications design and conduct an in-orbit demonstration, extending its growing national-security business into military satellite connectivity.

Tech & Power Infrastructure

Microsoft Prepares Its Next Big AI Chip

Microsoft plans to unveil its next-generation Maia 300 AI chip as soon as September, while pursuing manufacturing capacity for more than 300,000 units in 2027 as it builds a larger in-house alternative to Nvidia processors.

The company ultimately wants capacity for more than one million Maia 300 chips and is also trying to bring major cloud customers onto the platform, strengthening Microsoft’s control over the computing hardware behind its expanding AI services.

Solaris Makes a Move Into Nuclear Power

Solaris Energy Infrastructure has invested in microreactor developer Deployable Energy and agreed to work with the company on commercializing transportable nuclear systems for data centers, defense facilities and other power-intensive industrial sites.

The investment gives Solaris an early position in next-generation nuclear generation as the company expands its distributed power business, with the partnership targeting locations where traditional electricity infrastructure is limited or unable to meet rapidly growing demand.

Top Winners and Losers

Bowman Consulting [BWMN] $42.42 (+55.78%)

Bernhard Capital Partners, an infrastructure-focused private equity firm, announced an all-cash deal to acquire Bowman Consulting for $43 per share, valuing the company at roughly $1 billion including debt.

Bowman is an engineering and consulting firm serving transportation, water, energy, and real estate infrastructure clients. The $43 cash offer set a hard floor, and the stock moved straight to it.

Varex Imaging [VREX] $18.46 (+48.75%)

Teledyne Technologies agreed to acquire Varex Imaging for $18.90 per share in an all-cash transaction. Varex makes X-ray imaging components for medical scanners, industrial inspection equipment, and security systems.

Teledyne is buying the business for its specialized detector technology, which complements its existing imaging and sensing portfolio. The deal price gave Varex investors roughly a 49% premium over Thursday’s close.

MarineMax [HZO] $52.12 (+46.08%)

Blackstone’s Safe Harbor marina portfolio company agreed to acquire MarineMax for $1.5 billion at $53 per share in an all-cash transaction, unanimously approved by the MarineMax board.

MarineMax is the largest retail boat and yacht dealer in the US and operates marinas and superyacht services.

Blackstone had been competing with Centerbridge Partners and activist shareholder Donerail in a final-round bidding process that had been running since late July.

Lincoln Educational [LINC] $30.77 (-24.93%)

Lincoln Educational actually beat Q2 estimates, with revenue up double digits year-over-year for the fifth consecutive quarter and EPS ahead of consensus.

The stock fell because it entered Monday up more than 300% from its 52-week low, had already priced in a sustained beat streak, and the market saw nothing in the results that justified buying at these levels rather than locking in gains.

Earnings beats don’t always go up when the valuation has already run that far.

Bitdeer Technologies [BTDR] $8.70 (-20.08%)

Bitdeer’s Q2 revenue grew 47% to $228.8 million, but its net loss widened to $92.3 million as cost of revenue grew faster than sales, flipping the company to a gross loss.

Gross margin fell from positive 7.7% a year ago to negative 3.7%.

The crypto mining sector broadly fell alongside Bitdeer’s report, with MARA, Riot, and IREN all down in sympathy as investors recalibrated expectations for the miner-to-AI-compute transition timeline.

INNOVATE Corp [VATE] $7.13 (-41.12%)

INNOVATE Corp reversed its previous session’s surge as Q2 earnings delivered a result that didn’t match the enthusiasm the stock had priced in.

The industrial holding company reported operating results that widened losses year-over-year, with its DBM Global construction segment and its life sciences division both underperforming relative to expectations.

A name that surges 63% one session and gives back 42% the next is a volatility trade, not a fundamental one.

Everything Else

You Read This Far. Here's Where the Real Work Lives.

We run three live portfolios on Autopilot, and everything about them is public: every position, every allocation, every trade, visible the moment it happens.

We keep our own money in each one, because analysis you won't fund yourself is just content.

THE UNBREAKABLE STACK
Our growth book: durable software and cybersecurity names built to compound quietly for years.

THE HORMUZ PREMIUM
Our energy thesis: built for how that sector actually pays, over quarters, not headlines.

THE SQUEEZE
The defensive sleeve: staples and steady compounders, boring on purpose, built for the nights you'd rather sleep than watch futures.

And here's the part that makes it effortless: Autopilot does the trading for you. Connect the brokerage you already use (Robinhood, Schwab, Fidelity, and more) and every move we make gets mirrored in your own account automatically.

Your money never leaves your brokerage. It stays in your account, under your control, and you can override any trade or disconnect anytime. Autopilot even rebalances automatically when allocations drift, and you get a notification every time something happens.

No watching tickers. No timing entries. No fat-finger mistakes at market open. You pick the portfolio, we do the work, your account follows along.

Pick the one that fits your risk level, or run all three:

Live portfolios, real positions, our own capital at stake. Your funds stay in your own brokerage account. Past performance doesn't guarantee future results.

That's it for today! Please, write us back, and let us know what you think of the Closing Bell Roundup. We're always eager to hear feedback!

Thanks for reading. I'll see you at the next open!
