The AI buildout is creating a much wider set of winners, from infrastructure providers and optical suppliers to the companies helping financial firms defend against increasingly sophisticated cyber threats. At the same time, leadership changes and active dealmaking are keeping opportunities alive well beyond the technology sector.

The Rally’s Next Test Shifts From Earnings to Jobs

With most second-quarter results finished, Wall Street is turning toward Friday’s August employment report and another major batch of technology earnings. Broadcom and the jobs report now sit at the center of the week, with labor-market weakness potentially complicating the Fed outlook even as S&P 500 profit growth remains unusually strong.

Big Tech’s Profit Boom Comes With a $160 Billion Asterisk

Alphabet, Amazon, Microsoft, and Nvidia received a combined profit boost of more than $160 billion from gains on AI investments during the latest quarter. Their underlying businesses remain highly profitable, but soaring valuations for stakes in companies such as Anthropic, OpenAI, and SpaceX are making headline earnings look even stronger and raising questions about how repeatable some of those gains really are.

AI & Infrastructure

OpenAI Gets a $5.5 Billion Sweetener From the Data-Center Boom

OpenAI was reportedly issued warrants worth an estimated $5.5 billion in SB Energy as the SoftBank-backed infrastructure company prepares for a potential IPO. OpenAI and SoftBank are expected to become major tenants of SB Energy’s planned data centers, showing how AI developers are gaining financial upside from the infrastructure companies competing desperately for their business.

Europe Puts Another $450 Million Into Its AI Computing Push

Europe awarded France’s Bull a roughly €388 million contract to build the LUMI-AI supercomputer in Finland. The system will use AMD processors, IBM storage, and Nokia networking as Europe expands its network of publicly backed AI factories and tries to narrow the computing gap with the United States and China.

Chips & Memory

Soitec Is Locking AI Customers In for Years

Soitec is negotiating multi-year supply agreements with more than ten photonics customers as hyperscalers increasingly replace copper connections with optical technology inside AI data centers. The French company controls an estimated 95% of the silicon-photonics substrate market, putting another relatively obscure supplier directly in the path of the infrastructure boom.

China’s Memory Boom Produces Another Big IPO

Shenzhen Longsys Electronics is seeking to raise as much as $800 million in Hong Kong, with most of the proceeds earmarked for chip design and advanced memory development. Lenovo and Ingenic Semiconductor are among the cornerstone investors, giving the listing another direct connection to the global scramble for memory capacity.

Deductions Worth Reviewing (Sponsored)

Capital gains taxes may quietly reduce more of your investment returns than you realize.

But the tax code includes several strategies that may help reduce that bill.

Three often-overlooked areas include investment-related expenses, cost basis adjustments, and real estate selling costs.

When structured correctly, these deductions may help minimize taxable gains.

Because the rules can be complex, many investors work with fiduciary financial advisors to plan tax-efficient strategies.

Cybersecurity & Identity

AI Cyberattacks Move From Tech Problem to Financial-Stability Risk

The Financial Stability Board has identified AI-driven cyber risk as an immediate threat to the global financial system. Regulators are particularly concerned that more capable models can make attacks faster and cheaper, while banks and other financial institutions increasingly depend on a relatively small group of technology providers.

Socure Hits $5.2 Billion as AI Makes Identity More Valuable

Identity-verification company Socure has raised $156 million at a $5.2 billion valuation and acquired Fravity, which specializes in automating fraud and compliance work. With AI making convincing fake identities and automated fraud cheaper to produce, the ability to prove who is actually behind a transaction is becoming a more valuable piece of financial infrastructure.

Finance & Deals

HDFC Bank Gets a Chance to Hit the Reset Button

HDFC Bank CEO Sashidhar Jagdishan will step aside when his term ends in October, opening the door to a leadership reset at one of India’s largest banks. Analysts largely viewed the decision as an opportunity to address governance and execution concerns following the enormous HDFC merger rather than as a threat to the underlying franchise.

InPost Cuts Its Outlook With a $9 Billion Buyer Waiting

Parcel-locker operator InPost cut its 2026 profit guidance as investment costs, tougher competition in Poland, and its British turnaround squeezed margins. The weaker outlook arrives while a FedEx and Advent-led consortium is pursuing a roughly €7.8 billion acquisition that has already cleared its regulatory hurdles.

Movers and Shakers

Snap [SNAP]: Premarket Move: +9%

Snap jumped as traders continued to reassess the company following a strong second-quarter report, which showed improving advertising trends and much stronger profitability. Revenue rose to $1.60 billion, adjusted EBITDA reached roughly $250 million, and subscription and other revenue surged 85%, giving bulls more evidence that Snap’s monetization efforts are beginning to gain traction.

The Trade Desk [TTD]: Premarket Move: +4%

The Trade Desk moved higher as its new Kokai Zuma platform update put fresh attention on the company’s AI-driven advertising tools. The release adds agentic AI, automated campaign adjustments and simplified measurement tools, giving the battered ad-tech stock a potential product catalyst as management works to reaccelerate growth.

PG&E [PCG]: Premarket Move: −10%

PG&E plunged after BMO Capital downgraded the utility and sharply reduced its price target as concerns around California’s wildfire-liability framework intensified. The downgrade followed PG&E’s warning that newly amended Senate Bill 492 still fails to provide a durable solution to wildfire financing risks, raising fresh uncertainty around its longer-term capital investment plans.

You Read This Far. Here's Where the Real Work Lives.

We run three live portfolios on Autopilot, and everything about them is public: every position, every allocation, every trade, visible the moment it happens.

We keep our own money in each one, because analysis you won't fund yourself is just content.

THE UNBREAKABLE STACK
Our growth book: durable software and cybersecurity names built to compound quietly for years.

THE HORMUZ PREMIUM
Our energy thesis: built for how that sector actually pays, over quarters, not headlines.

THE SQUEEZE
The defensive sleeve: staples and steady compounders, boring on purpose, built for the nights you'd rather sleep than watch futures.

And here's the part that makes it effortless: Autopilot does the trading for you. Connect the brokerage you already use (Robinhood, Schwab, Fidelity, and more) and every move we make gets mirrored in your own account automatically.

Your money never leaves your brokerage. It stays in your account, under your control, and you can override any trade or disconnect anytime. Autopilot even rebalances automatically when allocations drift, and you get a notification every time something happens.

No watching tickers. No timing entries. No fat-finger mistakes at market open. You pick the portfolio, we do the work, your account follows along.

Pick the one that fits your risk level, or run all three:

Live portfolios, real positions, our own capital at stake. Your funds stay in your own brokerage account. Past performance doesn't guarantee future results.

That’s all for today. Thank you for reading. If you have any feedback, please reply to this email.
