Markets
July CPI came in at 3.4% year-over-year, right on forecast, with a 0.1% monthly increase that also landed exactly as expected. The bond market barely flinched — which tells you how much of a surprise it wasn't.
CoreWeave posted its fifth consecutive record revenue quarter on a $104 billion backlog, and shares jumped more than 20% as the AI cloud trade got fresh confirmation. Super Micro followed with revenue and profit roughly doubling, adding 16% and reigniting the server names that had been selling off.
Wendy's surged after the FT reported that Nelson Peltz's Trian Fund Management is assembling a consortium to take the chain private — Trian already holds 16%, so this is more credible than most takeover rumors. Blackstone's Link Logistics said 15% of its new warehouse leasing this year is tied to AI data centers, up sharply from a year ago.

Bank of America Makes a $1.9 Billion India Push
Bank of America signed a definitive agreement to acquire up to 49.9% of Jio Credit, committing roughly $1.9 billion to the fast-growing digital lender as the U.S. banking giant expands deeper into India’s financial-services market.
The transaction initially gives Bank of America a 26.5% interest that can rise to 49.9% through warrants, while Jio Credit has already built about $3.2 billion in assets under management within two years of operation.

Deals & Acquisitions
Paramount Puts a CNN Sale on the Table
Paramount Skydance is considering selling CNN as one possible solution to the antitrust challenge threatening its $110 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, opening the door to a major divestiture as the company works to get its blockbuster media deal across the finish line.
California and 11 other states are seeking to block the merger, and federal regulators and several international jurisdictions have already cleared it, leaving the state-led lawsuit as the transaction’s biggest remaining regulatory obstacle.
Wendy’s Could Be Heading for a Take-Private Deal
Wendy’s largest shareholder is assembling investors to prepare a bid to take the restaurant chain private, with Nelson Peltz’s Trian potentially joined by BlueFive Capital and longtime Wendy’s franchisee Flynn Group in a transaction that could arrive within weeks.
The potential takeover comes as Wendy’s works through a broad operational turnaround, while Trian and Peltz already hold substantial stakes in the company and have explored taking control of the burger chain before.

Connectivity & Telecom
SpaceX Maps Out a Much Bigger Starlink and AI Expansion
SpaceX laid out a larger connectivity and computing push after an employee meeting revealed plans to scale AI capacity to 10 gigawatts, roughly 10 times recent levels, while Starlink’s mobile reach was said to have grown to 22 million users through satellite-to-cell relationships.
The company also launched another 24 Starlink satellites from Vandenberg Space Force Base, marking its 51st West Coast flight this year as SpaceX continues expanding the satellite network behind its broadband and direct-to-device ambitions.

Summit’s Cancer Drug Wins Another Approval in China
Summit Therapeutics gained another important milestone for ivonescimab after its partner Akeso secured Chinese approval for the cancer treatment combined with chemotherapy as a first-line therapy for advanced squamous non-small cell lung cancer.
The decision marks the third approved ivonescimab regimen in China and adds another validation point as Summit advances the drug globally, including a U.S. application already under FDA review with a decision targeted for November.
Eli Lilly Goes After Sellers of Its Experimental Weight-Loss Drug
Eli Lilly has sued six pharmacies and peptide vendors over allegedly illegal versions of retatrutide, its highly anticipated experimental obesity treatment that has not yet been reviewed or approved by the FDA.
The legal push comes before Lilly even brings retatrutide to market, with the company expected to submit the drug to U.S. regulators next year as it works to protect one of the most important additions to its growing obesity portfolio.

Top Winners and Losers
Boxlight [BOXL] $7.87 (+168.60%)
Boxlight makes interactive whiteboards, projectors, and classroom technology for K-12 schools. The company was fighting a Nasdaq delisting threat all summer, and yesterday it announced it had secured new financing to meet Nasdaq compliance requirements — removing the overhang that had been suppressing the stock.
Today is also its scheduled earnings release date. A compliance scare resolved plus an earnings catalyst in the same session is rare. The stock responded accordingly.
TEN Holdings [XHLD] $5.35 (+49.86%)
TEN Holdings was up 909% yesterday and is up another 49% today, which is a summary sentence that does not require further explanation.
The company provides commercial services and is running on post-split thin-float mechanics that make back-to-back triple-digit and double-digit days possible. Today's numbers: $5.35, +49%, 21.38 million shares traded.
CBL International [BANL] $6.10 (+47.52%)
CBL International distributes marine bunker fuel to ships at ports across Southeast Asia. With the Strait of Hormuz situation rerouting significant cargo traffic and creating demand spikes for fuel at alternative ports, CBL's Singapore-based distribution operations are sitting in exactly the right geography.
The stock ran 47% on 17x relative volume as traders positioned for continued shipping disruption benefiting alternative route providers.

Maase [MAAS] $16.42 (-21.40%)
Maase is an AI infrastructure and data routing platform that has oscillated between the winners and losers list multiple times this month as institutional positioning rotates in and out.
Today, CoreWeave and Super Micro absorbed the AI infrastructure capital flow, leaving downstream enablers like Maase to compress. The business hasn't changed. The portfolio weighting did.
Autonomix Medical [AMIX] $7.54 (-17.38%)
Autonomix makes neural sensing catheter systems for treating conditions via nerve pathway intervention — renal denervation for hypertension, and cancer-related applications.
The stock has been in a sustained reversal pattern since its patent-driven 502% surge last week, cycling through sharp daily moves in both directions as speculative positioning built around the patent announcement unwinds. The IP is intact. The trade around it is getting squeezed out.
Fervo Energy [FRVO] $20.16 (-16.59%)
Fervo builds enhanced geothermal systems using horizontal drilling and fiber optic sensing, positioning itself as a 24/7 baseload renewable energy source for AI data centers.
The company had been one of the summer's biggest beneficiaries of the power demand narrative — and today the WSJ's Heard on the Street column said power stocks are losing steam as investors question whether premium valuations are justified before the data center projects actually draw power at scale. Strong Buy rated.

You Read This Far. Here's Where the Real Work Lives.
We run three live portfolios on Autopilot, and everything about them is public: every position, every allocation, every trade, visible the moment it happens.
We keep our own money in each one, because analysis you won't fund yourself is just content.
THE UNBREAKABLE STACK
Our growth book: durable software and cybersecurity names built to compound quietly for years.
THE HORMUZ PREMIUM
Our energy thesis: built for how that sector actually pays, over quarters, not headlines.
THE SQUEEZE
The defensive sleeve: staples and steady compounders, boring on purpose, built for the nights you'd rather sleep than watch futures.
And here's the part that makes it effortless: Autopilot does the trading for you. Connect the brokerage you already use (Robinhood, Schwab, Fidelity, and more) and every move we make gets mirrored in your own account automatically.
Your money never leaves your brokerage. It stays in your account, under your control, and you can override any trade or disconnect anytime. Autopilot even rebalances automatically when allocations drift, and you get a notification every time something happens.
No watching tickers. No timing entries. No fat-finger mistakes at market open. You pick the portfolio, we do the work, your account follows along.
Pick the one that fits your risk level, or run all three:
Live portfolios, real positions, our own capital at stake. Your funds stay in your own brokerage account. Past performance doesn't guarantee future results.

That's it for today! Please, write us back, and let us know what you think of the Closing Bell Roundup. We're always eager to hear feedback!
Thanks for reading. I'll see you at the next open!
Best Regards,
— Adam G.
